Renowned Irish hat designer Philip Treacy OBE, is noted for designing 36 of the hats worn at the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton on 29 April 2011, including the infamous headpiece sported by Princess Beatrice.

His illustrious fashion career has included 10 years of creations for Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel Haute Couture, sculptural hats for Alexander McQueen's White Haute Couture collection at Givenchy in Paris, and designs for Ralph Lauren, Valentino, Rifat Ozbek and Donna Karan. Treacy has also made his mark in the movie and music world designing hats for films including the Harry Potter series as well Sarah Jessica Parker's whimsical headpiece for the film première of Sex and the City. His statement making pieces are the headwear of choice for the likes of Lady Gaga, Madonna, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Elizabeth Hurley.
1989 marked the start of a lasting friendship with the highly influential late Isabella Blow, then style editor at Tatler magazine, who wore many of his hats. This led to his first workshop in the basement of Isabella and Detmar Blow's house on Elizabeth Street, Belgravia. Blow continued to be an inspiration and muse to Treacy for the remainder of her life.

Treacy is the first hat designer to have presented his collection at a fashion show held at Royal Ascot. He has also designed and photographed the advertising for this prestigious event.
Treacy was awarded an honorary OBE for services to the British fashion industry by HRH Prince Charles and the HRH the Duchess of Cornwall at a ceremony in Clarence House on 19 November 2007.
Philip Treacy has ongoing projects and collaborations with brands including Alexander McQueen, Moet and Chandon, Giorgio Armani, G Hotel, Umbro, When Philip Met Isabella, Habitat and David Downton.
